The Bachelor of Social Sciences in Industrial Relations and Employment with Honours at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) is designed to prepare students for dynamic careers in industrial relations, human resource management, and employment studies. Offered by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, this program provides students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to manage the complex relationships between employers, employees, and unions. The programme aims to give students a comprehensive understanding of industrial relations theories, labor laws, and employment practices at both national and international levels, while developing their analytical skills to critically examine workplace issues and labor market trends. Additionally, it equips students with practical expertise in negotiation, mediation, and human resource management, emphasizing the importance of ethical practices and sustainable development principles to promote fair and just workplaces.

The programme shall produce graduates who are:

• Knowledgeable and competent industrial relations officers who act as intermediary between the management and employees in the workplace.
• Capable industrial relations managers who develop and advice concerning terms and conditions of employment consistent with the industrial relations and employment legislation
• Qualified and responsible leaders who manage talents and human capital in the organizations by applying interpersonal and digital skills throughout the management process.
• Flexible professionals who capable to communicate and demonstrate entrepreneurship skills and administer the organizations and business enterprises.

Upon graduating from this program, the students are able to:
